Faye’s Baptism Weekend

October 17, 2017

What a WEEKEND! Whew! We’ve had family in town since last Thursday here to celebrate Faye’s baptism this past weekend. My sister Jillian was the last to depart just this morning, so we got a ton of sister and cousin time together! Ivy’s already missing her buddy.

The fun started on Thursday when my two sisters and her daughter flew in to visit. One sister lives in Portland, Oregon, and the other in Indianapolis, Indiana, so we only get to see each other 2-3 times a year, NOT ENOUGH! We all grew up here in Sioux Falls and our parents are still here, so it’s a lot of family time when we are able to get together. Love seeing the sisters and spending time together. Our brother, who lives near Aberdeen, even stopped for a quick visit on Friday! Everyone got to see Faye and all the cousins (and another boy due in Dec!) were together and rowdy as ever!

Faye’s baptism was on Saturday morning. She wore the same gown that Ivy and Leo wore, gifted by John’s Mom Betsy. It’s a beautiful white heirloom gown that I’m happy Faye fit in since she’s so big! My oldest sister is the godmother and John’s brother is the godfather. Happy to have such great siblings to fit the godparent role!

The rest of the weekend we had lots of bottles of wine and just had fun spending time together! I put the phone down and really enjoyed time with each other. And probably because we were busy with 4 kids in the house! :)

Sistas!

Happy Baptism Faye!
